Healthy Berry Chocolate Yogurt Sandwich

Okay, I need to tell you about the snack I’ve been making on repeat. It’s almost too easy to be legal.

It started because I wanted something sweet, but I also wanted to feel good about what I was eating. You know the struggle. I saw people making this berry-chocolate snack online, so I tried it, and it was good. But I wanted to make it even better. Berries are always paired with yogurt for breakfast, and that’s how I came up with this idea — the Berry Chocolate Yogurt Sandwich. The result was so good I had to share.

The berries are sweet, the dark chocolate is rich and deep, and the yogurt is creamy and slightly tangy. Together, it feels like a fancy dessert — but it’s really just fruit, yogurt, and a little chocolate.

All you do is take fresh blueberries, arrange them on a piece of parchment paper, and drizzle melted dark chocolate all over the top. Let it flow over the fruit naturally. Then pop the whole thing into the fridge for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate sets. When you take it out, the chocolate has hardened into crisp, snappy shards wrapped around each piece of cold, juicy fruit. It’s like a DIY chocolate bark — but even better, because we sandwich it with thick, strained yogurt.

By “dry yogurt,” I simply mean Greek yogurt that’s been strained until it’s very thick and firm. I used a yogurt drainer, but you can also spoon Greek yogurt into a cheesecloth, place it over a bowl, and press it with something heavy to remove the excess liquid. For this berry chocolate sandwich to work, the yogurt needs to be thick so it doesn’t ooze out when you press the layers together.

It’s my new go-to when I want something quick, satisfying, and a little indulgent without going overboard. Honestly, it tastes like something you’d pay for at a café.

You have to try it.
